CYCLONE ELOISE BRINGS NEW LIFE TO THE RIVER

We had an awesome time at the lodge! Wildlife was abundant. Venue was stunning and we didn’t have to go anywhere to see animals. The hippos were playing in the river up and down the stream, and waterbuck grazed close by. With Cyclone Eloise bringing so much rain, the Crocodile river was teaming with activity. It was amazing!!

TRULY A FIVE STAR AUTHENTIC AFRICAN EXPERIENCE

How do you start by reviewing the best place in Africa? Photos certainly do not do justice to the beauty and magnificence of this house. For instance. all the appliances, bedding and furniture is of the best quality and truly understated elegance. You shall want for nothing at Jacana. Small touches for instance, the children’s play area and wheel chair access makes this house feel like a home. The location of Jacana River Lodge, makes this a totally private stay. Certainly something that is unheard of so close to the Kruger National Park.

This is where you can sit on the veranda or in the pool and just watch the world go by. Usually with Elephants right on your doorstep. During our stay we saw Elephants, Leopards, Rhino and Lions, almost on a daily basis. We were easily reminded, in this most special setting, just what a privilege it is to witness these wildlife sightings. Also the lives of some of our most precious natural assets. To sit and watch an African sunset on Jacana’s amazing upstairs entertainment deck has left us with such special memories and family moments to treasure. Lying on a pure white Egyptian cotton bed, looking out over the Crocodile River teeming with wildlife, was a fantasy I only thought possible in films. The amazing setting is matched only by the house itself. Truly a five star Authentic African Experience.

EVERYTHING WAS BETTER THAN IT LOOKS IN THE PICTURES

We spent a long weekend at Jacana River Lodge which was absolutely amazing. The house is above all, extremely well equipped and beautifully furnished. Also the view overlooks the crocodile river. So, we spent many hours animal watching from the patio. Everything was better than it looks in the pictures and all around a five star experience. Especially Mariska is a fantastic host. She promptly communicated at all times. We will definitely be back! I booked through Airbnb

IT SURPASSED ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS

Initially we thought the price per night was a bit high. However, once you get to Jacana one can immediately see and feel your monies worth. Firstly, the house is inviting warm, open, and airy. Also very spacious without loosing any of its appeal. Everything in the house is high end and the attention to detail is of the highest quality. I would highly recommend it over and over. It certainly surpassed all our expectations… All we can say is WOW amazing on point

Our visit to Jacana River Lodge in the Mjejane Game Reserve was truly one to remember. A ‘Winter Wonderland’ in true African Style. Especially with relaxed sunsets overlooking a breath-taking dam. Meanwhile, you are met with a curtain of Egyptian Geese taking flight. After your Game Drive, you arrive at the lodge, where civilization meets nature in perfect harmony.

NO CAMERA IN THE WORLD COULD CAPTURE THE BEAUTY OF THIS PLACE.

What an amazing place! No camera in the world could capture the beauty of this place. It has the most breathtaking views with such a tranquil atmosphere. The house itself is unbelievable especially, with modern luxurious furniture. As a result, it just makes you want to stay there forever and ever. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Well worth the money, I will definitely be going back.

BEST EXPERIENCE AND ATMOSPHERE

I went to Jacana lodge earlier September, and what an experience. Firstly, no photos or reviews could truly describe the beauty and the atmosphere of this place. Secondly, from the amazing view of the crocodile river. Especially with wildlife sightings of all manor of animals large and small. When they come to drink water from the river. Thirdly, the luxurious bedrooms and entertainment areas. I never wanted to leave the upstairs patio where I could drink cocktails and watch the sun go down over the river.

During my visit I went on a game drive. It was definitely the best one I have ever been on. Because of the custom-made game viewer, the trip was so comfortable. It just made the trip so much more enjoyable. On our game drive we saw a large number of animals from giraffe to rhino. But my personal favourite was the African Elephant, we saw baby elephants running towards their mother as they realised that she had already walked a distance away from them.
