ACCOMMODATION RATES

LOW SEASON 2026
- Monday – Thursday: R11 950 per night for the lodge
- Friday – Sunday: R14 550 per night for the lodge
PEAK SEASON 2026
(Long weekends & School holidays)
- Monday – Sunday: R14 550 per night for the lodge
There is a breakage deposit of R5 000.00 that is fully refundable after check-out (subject to damage/breakage).
Deposit & Payment Policy:
- A 50% reservation deposit fee is required to confirm your booking, payable within 24 hours.
- The remaining 50% balance is strictly payable 60 days prior to arrival.
- Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of the booking, and no access will be allowed for guests with outstanding payments.
Cancellation Policy:
- Amendment to a reservation involving the arrival and departure dates is treated as a cancellation.
- If cancelled 60+ days before arrival, the 50% reservation deposit will be forfeited.
- If cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival, 100% of the total booking fee will be forfeited.
- If the chalet is re-sold, a 25% administration fee will be charged on the total booking fee.
ROAD AND CONSERVATION CHARGE:
- Conservation Fee: R350 per vehicle (seven-day cycle)
- R60 per guest per night, payable upon arrival at the main gate to Mjejane Game Reserve
- Note: NO CASH ACCEPTED – only card payments
GAME DRIVES
- Per Game Drive:
R2000 for a group of up to 10 people. *Bookings must be made 3 days in advance*
Approx. 3-hour game drive either in the morning from 07:00 or in the afternoon from 16:00 in the Mjejane Game Reserve.
Please note: The reserve is governed by strict rules with regards to respect for animals, other visitors or property, and the owners of Jacana River Lodge expect guests to comply with these rules. The managing body of Mjejane Game Reserve will issue fines for any transgressions on the reserve, such as speeding or reckless driving. Any person guilty of such transgressions will be personally liable for the fines.

available at the following hours:
- Weekdays: 07h30 to 12h00 and 12h30 to 14h45
- Saturdays: 07h30 to 11h45
- Does NOT work on public holidays or Sundays
LODGE FACILITIES
VERANDA, DECK AND POOL
Step out onto a veranda for alfresco dining, or enjoy ultimate relaxation and spectacular views over the river in a separate seating area. Make use of the ice machine and installed service counter, or jump into our blissful rim-flow swimming pool
BOMA AND BRAAIS
Choose between two covered braai (barbeque) areas or the boma. All cooking tools necessary for preparing your favourite meals are available, and firewood is supplied. The upper deck and bar are ideal for hosting memorable get-togethers, and especially for watching breathtaking African sunsets!
SERVICE AREAS
Additional facilities include a scullery with washing machine, dishwashing machine and extra fridges for use by guests. Jacana River Lodge has everything, and more, to make you feel at home and ensure the best possible stay!
SAFE PARKING
Undercover parking for three vehicles, as well as a conveniently situated carport for easy unpacking, as well as hopping on and off the game viewer
COURTYARD, LAWN AND JUNGLE GYM
Inside our courtyard, which is secured by perimeter walls, kids can run around safely on the lawn or enjoy the jungle gym’s swings and slide

Luxury and comfort await you! Lie back on an impeccably dressed king-size bed, and enjoy the convenience of a bar fridge, coffee station, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, plug points for charging, clock radio and mosquito nets.
